Terms of Use
Payday is made by Szakacs Media LLC. Using it means agreeing to what is below. It is short on purpose.
What Payday is
Payday is a record-keeping app for people paid in tips. It records what you tell it, does arithmetic on it, and shows you the result. It is not an accountant, a tax preparer, a payroll service, or financial advice.
Payday is free
There is no purchase, no subscription, and no in-app purchase. If that ever changes, the terms and the App Store listing change with it first.
Your account
Payday requires Sign in with Apple. Keep access to that Apple ID: it is the only key to your account, and Szakacs Media cannot move your data to a different one or recover an account you have lost access to.
You can delete your account, and everything stored with it, from Settings inside the app. See deleting your account.
Your data is yours
Your shifts belong to you. Export them to CSV any time from the History tab. What Payday stores and where is set out in the privacy policy.
The numbers are records, not guarantees
Payday shows you what you logged and what follows arithmetically from it. Projections, typical ranges, and paycheck predictions are estimates drawn from your own history, stated with the sample size behind them. They are not promises about future earnings, and they are only as accurate as what was entered.
When Payday flags a gap between a paycheck and the shifts in that period, that is a prompt to go look, not a legal finding. Check the stub and talk to your employer.
Back up what matters
Payday syncs your shifts to its servers so they survive a lost phone, and that is a real safeguard rather than a guarantee. Software and services fail. If your earnings record matters to you for taxes or a dispute, export a CSV periodically and keep it somewhere you control.
Payday is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Szakacs Media LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it.
